Since Akshay Kumar's historic courtroom drama 'Kesari Chapter 2' was released in theatres earlier this week, the film has been performing strongly at the box office and receiving love from all corners.
Now, the latest to praise the film is actor Varun Dhawan. Taking to his Instagram Stories on Sunday, Varun reviewed Kesari, calling it a "powerful film." Apart from this, the actor also praised the entire cast and crew. "Such a powerful film! Loved watching it in the theatres. Congratulations @bindraamritpal, #Karan, @ananyapanday, you were very good, @actormaddy, loved you sir, and @akshaykumar, your passion and hard work shine in this. @karanjohar, so happy for you, you've done it again," followed by a hug emoji. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Kesari 2, which also stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, "has opened on expected lines across key markets." "While the #GoodFriday holiday should have ideally resulted in a stronger Day 1 total, the noticeable rise in occupancies as the day progressed -- driven by excellent audience feedback -- is certainly encouraging. Compared to the opening day business of #AkshayKumar's recent content-driven films -- Mission Raniganj [Rs 2.80 cr], Sarfira [Rs 2.50 cr], and Khel Khel Mein [Rs 5.23 cr; #IndependenceDay] -- Kesari Chapter 2 has fared significantly better on Day 1.
