Ben Affleck has opened up about his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, praising his ex-wife for her ability to handle the spotlight with ease.
According to People magazine, in a candid interview, Affleck reflected on the differences in personality between himself and Lopez, saying that she has "handled celebrity more adeptly and more adroitly" than he has. "My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers," Affleck said, adding, "As happens in relationships, you don't always have the same attitude towards these things." Affleck also addressed the 2024 documentary he and Lopez made about their marriage, 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told.' He said that he participated in the documentary to provide an honest and interesting examination of their relationship. Affleck also emphasized that their 2024 documentary, which chronicled their relationship, did not contribute to their breakup. Many fans speculated that Affleck appeared unhappy in the film, but he clarified that he participated to support Lopez. "I thought it was an interesting examination," he explained, adding, "You don't marry a ship captain and then say, 'Well, I don't like going out in the water.' You've got to own what you knew going into any relationship." Affleck and Lopez's divorce was finalized in January after Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024. The pair were officially declared single six weeks later. In the interview, Affleck also expressed his respect for Lopez, saying that he has "nothing but respect" for her as a person. (ANI)
