Netflix has officially confirmed the renewal of its hit single-camera comedy 'A Man on the Inside' for a second season.
The streaming giant made the announcement on their official social media account, much to the excitement of fans and critics alike. The series is based on the Oscar-nominated Chilean documentary 'The Mole Agent', and it has already captured the attention of audiences with its unique blend of humour and heart. The plot of 'A Man on the Inside' follows Charles, a retired professor who, a year after the death of his wife, finds himself stuck in a monotonous routine and emotionally distant from his daughter, Emily (played by Mary Elizabeth Ellis). Seeking a new purpose, Charles responds to a classified ad placed by private investigator Julie (played by Lilah Richcreek Estrada) and embarks on a thrilling adventure. His mission: is to go undercover at the Pacific View Retirement Home in San Francisco and solve the mystery of a stolen family heirloom, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The series also boasts a supporting cast, including Stephanie Beatriz, Eugene Cordero, Sally Struthers, Marc Evan Jackson, Kerry O'Malley, John Getz, Miles Fowler, Clyde Kusatsu, Lori Tan Chinn, Susan Ruttan, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Veronica Cartwright. The series was created by Mike Schur, known for his work on 'The Good Place', and is produced under his Fremulon banner. Schur serves as an executive producer alongside Morgan Sackett, David Miner from 3 Arts Entertainment, Maite Alberdi, Marcela Santibanez of Micromundo Producciones, and Julie Goldman and Christopher Clements of Motto Pictures.
