Fans of Dexter are in for a treat as the prequel series 'Dexter: Original Sin' gears up for its premiere.
The prequel series introduces Patrick Gibson as a young Dexter Morgan and Michael C. Hall as his inner voice. Set in 1991 Miami, the show looks into Dexter's early days as he transitions from being a student to becoming a serial killer with a moral code. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the story focuses on Dexter's struggle to control his bloodthirsty urges while navigating a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department. Under the guidance of his adoptive father, Harry Morgan, played by Christian Slater, Dexter learns to channel his dark instincts. Harry's Code teaches him to only target people who deserve to be eliminated, keeping Dexter off law enforcement's radar. In the trailer, Harry warns young Dexter, "You got to blend in. One wrong move, you ruin your life, your sister's, mine." Dexter replies, "This is who I am, who I need to be. Learning my code was just the beginning, bringing it to life for the first time is a whole new story."
