Leto expressed his excitement about being back on the road after a five-year hiatus, with a show scheduled in Krakow, Poland, on May 9. Similarly, Ben Affleck couldn't accompany his wife Jennifer Lopez to the event due to filming commitments in Los Angeles. Billy Porter, renowned for his bold fashion choices, chose to prioritize self-care over the glitz and glamour of the Met Gala. Still mourning the loss of his mother earlier in the year, Porter emphasized the importance of taking care of himself during this difficult time, as per E! News. Rihanna, another regular attendee known for her show-stopping looks, had plans to grace the Met Gala but was sidelined by the flu, according to her representative. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, who have both made memorable appearances at previous Met Galas, were notably absent as well. Swift was occupied with her Eras Tour in Europe, while Perry cited work commitments in Los Angeles, debunking rumours fueled by AI-generated images circulating online.
