Filmmaker and author Tahira Kashyap Khurrana made her debut live performance at the Spoken Festival of 2024.

Taking to Instagram, Tahira shared a video and penned a note.

The note read, "Beautiful energies. Met with these amazing, happy artistic lot of souls! Could feel there was an artist in everyone. Some wrote, others spoke, few were closeted writers and all had aspirations to work towards their dreams. It was a young and vibrant lot. Youth like someone said is not based on age and numbers but your will and courage to learn and evolve . I wish everyone's dreams come true but it can't happen without pushing yourself out of your comfort zone!"

She added, "So go do the one thing you always wanted to. Start by taking a small step towards that! Requires courage and a lot of it but you wouldn't regret! I took to the stage after 21 years ( was avoiding for the longest time) I was all nerves but I needed to push myself out of my comfort zone and boy was it worth it !!#StoriesInMyHead #spokenword

Tahira has become synonymous with narratives that unravel the complexities of womanhood and serve as a reflective mirror to societal conditioning.

She unravelled the intricacies of guilt woven into the fabric of a woman.

Addressing the audience, Tahira shared, "There's one word that describes us all and that one word is 'GUILT,' let's just say that's how we are built! The idea behind this small piece was to emphasize the importance of being kinder and forgiving to ourselves. Amidst the various roles we play daily, let's not allow guilt to overwhelm us."

Meanwhile, Tahira's directorial debut 'Sharmajee ki Beti,' recently was unveiled at the Jio Mami Film Festival.

'Sharmajee ki Beti' is a heartwarming story that beautifully weaves together the complexities of family, identity, and relationships with women at the centre stage. The film received a standing ovation at the festival. (ANI)
