Faridabad (Haryana) [India], August 13: AiCyberWatch (NGBPS LTD) has opened its IT-OT Cyber Fusion Center in Delhi NCR, consolidating enterprise IT and operational technology security onto a single operations floor. The separation between the two has always been more organisational than technical. IT security reports to the CISO. OT sits with engineering or plant operations, on networks built for uptime and safety rather than confidentiality, often with equipment that predates the security tooling now expected to protect it. Adversaries work the seam between them. Ransomware that lands in a corporate domain reaches production through shared directory services and flat segments; in the other direction, an anomaly on an engineering workstation is sometimes the first visible evidence of an intrusion that began weeks earlier in IT. Monitoring those environments from separate consoles, staffed by teams with different reporting lines and different definitions of an incident, leaves that seam unwatched. The Fusion Center is built to close it: IT and OT telemetry, threat intelligence, security analytics, investigation and response, DFIR, orchestration and AI-assisted operations, all held in one operational context. The Center was formally inaugurated on August 6, 2026, with the ribbon cutting and ceremonial lamp lighting led by Mr. Ravi Kant Prasad, Principal Executive Director & CISO, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. A Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, RailTel is one of India's leading telecom and ICT infrastructure providers, with a vast pan-India footprint spanning optical fibre, data centres, cloud and enterprise ICT services. Mr. Prasad's presence reinforced the growing importance of securing the critical digital and operational infrastructure underpinning India's rapidly expanding digital economy. The celebrations culminated on August 7, 2026, with an exclusive CISO networking evening, bringing together senior cybersecurity leaders for conversations on the evolving threat landscape, cyber resilience and the future of security operations. The interaction with industry leaders reinforced several themes that AiCyberWatch believes will shape the next phase of enterprise cybersecurity, including increasing IT-OT convergence, the need for greater asset and operational context within security monitoring, growing adoption of automation, the responsible use of artificial intelligence in security operations and the need to move from alert-centric monitoring towards outcome-driven cyber defence. From alert handling to fusion A conventional SOC is optimised for throughput. It ingests telemetry, applies detection logic and escalates what it cannot dismiss, and it is judged largely on how quickly it moves alerts through that pipeline. The Fusion Center leverages Agentic AI driven Autonomous SecOps is organised around the questions that begin after triage: which assets are implicated, what those assets are worth to the business, whether the threat can traverse the IT-OT boundary, what the operational consequence would be if it did, and what response is proportionate to that consequence. Answering them requires security telemetry alongside asset and process context, current threat intelligence, forensic capability and analysts who understand industrial systems as well as enterprise ones. For manufacturers, energy companies and infrastructure operators, this distinction is not academic. The consequence of a serious incident is rarely confined to data. It is measured in unplanned downtime, batch loss, missed delivery commitments and, in the worst cases, equipment that cannot be brought back safely without a controlled restart. Agentic AI, under human oversight The Center operates agentic AI with a human in the loop, a phrase diluted by overuse, so it is worth being precise about what it means in practice. Agents perform the assembly work of an investigation: correlating related signals, enriching indicators, retrieving asset and process context, gathering forensic artefacts and drafting a proposed response. That is the majority of the clock time in most investigations, and it is work that rewards speed and consistency rather than judgement. Analysts are left with the part that does require judgement - whether the finding is real, how severe it is, and what should happen next. What agents do not do is act unilaterally on anything consequential. Isolating a host in a corporate environment is one class of decision. Isolating a controller mid-batch is another, and that one needs an engineer in the conversation alongside the analyst. Keeping that line clearly drawn is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation to be engineered away later. A venue for the industry AiCyberWatch intends the Center to function as more than a service delivery facility. Planned programming includes CISO roundtables, practitioner workshops, live attack demonstrations and technical sessions on IT-OT convergence, threat intelligence, automation, incident response and the operational realities of running AI inside a security function.
