Indian School of Public Policy Celebrates the Graduation of the PDM Class of 2026 at its Convocation Ceremony

New Delhi [India], July 31: The Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) celebrated the graduation of 59 scholars from the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy, Design & Management (PDM) Class of 2026 at its convocation ceremony held at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi.

The convocation brought together members of the ISPP Board, faculty, alumni, graduating scholars and their families. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Nadir Godrej, Chairperson of the Godrej Industries Group, Chairperson and Managing Director of Godrej Industries, and Co-founder of ISPP, as Chief Guest. Ms. Vidya Shah, Chairperson of EdelGive Foundation and Co-founder and Director of ISPP, was the Guest of Honour, while Mr. Avinash Satwalekar, Chief Executive Officer, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd., attended as a distinguished guest.

The ceremony also recognised outstanding academic achievement, leadership and contributions to the ISPP community. Naveen was named Valedictorian, while Prachi Shrivastava and Anushka Rana were recognised on the Dean's List. Pragya Saini, Sonal Soni, Uttej Rao and Sarthak Gupta received the ISPP Ambassador, Torchbearer, Spirit and Scholar Representative Awards, respectively. Among alumni, Abhishek Pandey, CEO, Sentient, received the Distinguished Alumni Award, while the Alumni Policy Impact Award was presented to Aswathy S, State Project Coordinator, Kerala Youth Leadership Academy, and Manas Gubbi, Head of Legislative Engagement, PRS Legislative Research. Deeksha Aggarwal, Senior Consultant and Project Lead, Deloitte US-India, received the Alumni Spotlight Quarterly Award.

Welcoming the gathering, Mr. Luis Miranda, Co-founder and Chairperson, ISPP, highlighted the role of institutions in shaping future leaders, saying, "The success of an institution is reflected in the achievements of its alumni and the excellence of its faculty."

Mr. Avinash Satwalekar highlighted Franklin Templeton's partnership with ISPP and reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to promoting gender diversity in public policy. Delivering the convocation address, Mr. Nadir Godrej said, "Good policy is the tool we need for all of us to succeed." He emphasised the importance of evidence-based policymaking, collaboration and responsible leadership in addressing challenges such as public health, inequality, climate change and democratic governance.

Following the presentation of completion certificates, Ms. Vidya Shah administered the Convocation Oath and encouraged the graduating scholars to champion inclusive and people-centric policymaking and create meaningful public impact. Reaffirming ISPP's commitment to its graduates, she said, "We're all here at ISPP to support you in your journey, and I'm sure You'll go ahead and achieve a lot for yourself and for this nation."

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Gurpreet Mahajan and Prof. Shubhashis Gangopadhyay, a tribute video celebrating the Class of 2026, and a commemorative handprint ceremony. Parents and guardians were also presented certificates of appreciation in recognition of their support throughout the scholars' academic journeys.
