Rosneft Strikes Three-Way HR Training Accord with India's MDI Gurgaon and St. Petersburg State University

New Delhi [India], June 23: At the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Rosneft signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on personnel development with Management Development Institute Gurgaon (Republic of India) and St. Petersburg State University. The document was executed by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, SPbU Rector Nikolai Kropachev and MDI Director Professor Arvind Sakhai.

The partners will offer joint programmes run by the Graduate School of Management (SPbU) and MDI Gurgaon, covering technology advancement in oil and gas, operational excellence, logistics, AI and digitalisation. The accord also envisages study visits to Indian energy companies for Rosneft specialists. Rosneft expects the initiative to cement a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership and help solve the Company's complex business tasks.

During SPIEF-2024, Rosneft entered into a three-party HR-training agreement with St. Petersburg State University and the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon, India. Signatories included Rosneft head Igor Sechin, SPbU Rector Nikolai Kropachev and Professor Arvind Sakhai, Director of MDI.

Under the deal, Rosneft employees will study in joint executive-education tracks delivered by SPbU's Graduate School of Management and MDI Gurgaon. The curriculum spans upstream technologies, digital transformation, logistics efficiency and AI. The programme also features on-site visits to leading Indian oil-and-gas enterprises. Rosneft says the collaboration will deepen strategic ties with both academic partners while strengthening its own human-capital capabilities.

At SPIEF, Russia's Rosneft, St. Petersburg State University and the Management Development Institute of Gurgaon sealed a trilateral agreement focused on employee education and knowledge exchange. The signing ceremony featured Igor Sechin (Rosneft), Nikolai Kropachev (SPbU) and Professor Arvind Sakhai (MDI).

The agreement envisages custom training modules delivered jointly by SPbU's Graduate School of Management and MDI Gurgaon, along with industry visits to Indian oil-and-gas majors. Key topics include technological innovation, efficiency improvement, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Rosneft believes the collaboration will create a robust talent pipeline and strengthen cooperation between the three institutions.
