HORIBA India extends its CSR support to Human Empowerment Foundation which supports Khelo India Stag Table Tennis Academy for strengthening Indian sports

NEW DELHI, March 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- HORIBA India, a wholly owned subsidiary of HORIBA, Ltd., global analytical and measurement solutions technology leader has made Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution to Human Empowerment Foundation which supports Khelo India Stag Table Tennis Academy at Pitampura, New Delhi.

HORIBA India contributed Table Tennis equipment to national and international players being coached by Mr. Sandeep Gupta, an International Table Tennis Coach and Dronacharya Awardee at this center. The academy has trained several students in past including Manika Batra (Khel Ratna Awardee), Neha Aggarwal (Olympian) and Anthony Amalraj (Arjuna Awardee). The contribution was made under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., and President, HORIBA India Pvt. Ltd., who himself is a sports enthusiast.

She informed that HORIBA management has always encouraged Sports within the organization and has been sponsoring the Kyoto Sanga F.C. soccer team in Japan since 1997. HORIBA encourages sports enthusiasts to continue their passion along with work.

A short ceremony to distribute these equipment was organized on Saturday, 18 March 2023 at the academy. Mr. Uday Shankar, Senior Vice President, Delhi State Table Tennis Association, Mr. Balbir Singh Lamba, Joint Secretary Delhi State Table Tennis Association, Mr. V K Bawa, Former Secretary Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and Former Treasurer Table Tennis Federation of India, HORIBA India delegates - Ms. Kanika Thakur, Lead - Corporate Communication, Mr. Sourav Taneja, Manager (Events) – Corporate Communication and Mani Rajesh Kumar – Regional Business Manager (North & East) along with the distinguished guests and parents of the players participated in this ceremony.
