The appointment comes as CoinPayments continues to experience significant growth and demand increases for alternative payment solutions. In 2021 the company saw global transactions totaling over $7 billion, increasing more than 100% from the previous year.

Prior to joining GardaWorld, Kalinov led the marketing operations for Kitco's media division. He was an integral part of the team that established Kitco as one of the world's leading news and data outlets dedicated to the economic and precious metals sector. Kalinov also oversaw the marketing efforts for Kitco VaultChainâ„¢ Gold, one of the first precious metals trading platforms using blockchain technology, and Kitco Gold, one of the first stablecoins backed by physical gold.
