Gearing up to welcome its fourth batch, the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women has opened the first round of applications for its professional certificate course in Management Practice & Leadership. Vedica offers an opportunity to fresh graduates from all disciplines to grow into benchmark management professionals through its 18-month programme. The Scholars of the Founding Class have been successfully placed across a vast spectrum of roles and industries. The list of recruiters include globally renowned corporations such as Google, Nestlé, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, KPMG, Airtel, IFMR Capital, Max Healthcare, Indus League, Tata Trusts and Mapro Foods.

Vedica’s courses are taught by some of the most reputed management academics and business leaders drawn from prominent institutions and corporations across the globe, including Stanford University, Simmons School of Management, IIM Ahmedabad, ISB, JNU, McKinsey, Coca-Cola and Nielsen. Among the other distinguishing features is a series of curated guest lectures which expose Scholars to inspiring role models from diverse sectors.

Adding to its stellar faculty is a pre-eminent Governing Council with global women leaders such as Madeleine Albright (former US Secretary of State), Vinita Bali (former MD, Britannia), Sarpanch Chhavi Rajawat, Meenakshi Gopinath (former Principal, Lady Shriram College), Joanna Barsh (Senior Advisor, McKinsey & Co.) and Dana Brown (Founding Principal and Pro VC–Enterprise, Leicester Castle Business School). Anuradha Das Mathur, the Founding Dean of the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women is a Yale Greenberg World Fellow 2016 and was recognised as one of India's 100 women achievers by the President of India. The co-founder of this Programme, Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Founding Dean of Indian School of Business (ISB, Hyderabad) and ex-McKinsey Partner, is one of the most successful institution-builders of the country and has created path-breaking educational institutes such as the Young India Fellowship and Ashoka University.

One of the most unique features of Vedica is its ‘Shadow a Woman CEO’ Module which exposes Vedica Scholars to a successful, senior, professional woman for a month. The Scholars of the second batch ‘shadowed’ women CXOs and role models such as Gunjan Soni (Myntra), Samina Vaziralli (Cipla), Abanti Sankaranayanan (Diageo India), Anushree Tainwala (Samsonite), Pavitra Singh (Pepsi Co), Seema Bansal (BCG) and Satya Sriram (The Hindu) to name a few, in August this year.

Located in the heart of Delhi, this 18-month, residential programme has its campus at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication. The three batches of Vedica Scholars represent cohorts of diverse academic and professional backgrounds who have been selected through an exhaustive application process and personal interviews.

Vedica has now opened its first round of applications for the course commencing August 2018. All achievement-oriented women with a graduate degree and a desire to excel professionally are eligible to apply for the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women. There is no application fee. All admitted Scholars receive a Vedica Bursary of INR 3.25 lakhs. In addition, partial and full scholarships are available based on need and merit. Placements for Scholars are assured upon successful completion of the programme.
