Intl conference on 'Digital Identity' to be held at ISB from Jul 11

A three-day International Conference on 'Digital Identity' will be held at ISB Campus from Wednesday.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI), Chairman Dr J Satyanarayana will be delivering his keynote address at the inaugural session of the conference where key speakers from various research institutes across the country will be present, ISB said in a release here on Tuesday.

This edition of the conference focuses on Aadhaar, the world's largest biometric identification system developed by the Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI).

The objective of the Conference is to showcase the Research works done on digital identity, with special reference to Aadhaar and explore the pros and cons of its eco-system.

The Conference will also discuss the gaps in the current research on Aadhaar.

The second day's sessions will feature discussions on various aspects of the Aadhaar eco-system: Cyber Security, Privacy and Exclusion.

These panel discussions will be followed by a session where DIRI fellows and researchers will showcase their ongoing research.

The final day of the conference will feature a roundtable on IDInsight's State of Aadhaar report ending with a discussion on future directions the Research on Aadhaar can take.
