Couple of people including a youth and a school student were today killed as lightning struck at Dahuri village under Sadar Police Station area of this district.
Police sources said that another boy was also injured in the incident who has been admitted at Chatra Sadar Hospital. Police sources said the deceased have been identified as Puneet Kumar Yadav (25) and Abhay Kumar (12). The injured has been identified as Abhishek Kumar (10). Police said, the trio were standing under a tree to safe themselves from heavy rainfall when suddenly lightning struck due to which two of them died on the spot. Later, the police sent both the bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
