Personal Protective Equipment manufacturer KARAM will hold a blood donation camp in Lucknow tomorrow as a part of their countrywide drive on commitment to serve the community.

The camp will witness active participation from KARAM employees, alongside conscientious citizens, who have volunteered to donate blood for this noble cause. Through this blood donation camp, KARAM aims to raise awareness for the need of safe blood and to thank voluntary blood donors for their constant contribution in providing saving gift -- "blood".

Kavita Nigam, General Manager, HR, publicity and promotion in a statement here today said blood is on constant demand for people suffering from leukaemia, thalassemia, accidents and other blood-afflicted diseases.

"Surprisingly, only four out of 100 people donate blood willingly, giving rise to an acute shortage of blood. Blood donation is a healthy practice as it not only reduces the chance of any pulmonary-related disease but also reduces the chances of Cancer. This is our earnest endeavour to maintain the fragile balance of nature before the children of the future grow up seeing a healthier world. The belief that an everyday person can be a hero has been enshrined in KARAM's vision for a better world and this camp is a humble contribution to that," she said.UNI MB SW ADG 1357
