A recent international Conference on Environment and Humanity held at Pokhara, Nepal reaffairmed its faith in 'Aurangabad Declaration on River Conservation'.
The details of the conference were given to newsmen here today, in a news conference by Convenor of Conference- Prof.Priyanand Agale, President of Eco Needs Foundation. He told newsmen that several representatives of the human society from world over from various spheres of life like religion,spirituality, academics, science, technology, agriculture, art,culture, economics, politics, administration, industry, commerce etc attended the one day conference. On this occasion of Eco-Revolution 2013, International Conference on Environment & Humanity, Pokhara, Nepal affirmed and expressed its firm commitment for the promotion of economically, socially, culturally and environmentally sustainable development for present and future generations. He further said that the conferene reaffirmed its faith in 'Aurangabad Declaration on River Conservation' and 'Colombo Declaration on spirituality for environmental conservation'and 'in addition we cause to declare this 'Pokhara Declaration on Mitigating lmpacts of Global Climate Change at Mountains',' they declared. The conference acknowledged that Global Climate Change had it's adverse impact over the places situated at Mountains and it has posed serious threat to the life, life style, flora & fauna and overall environment of mountain ecosystem.
