Noted Theatre personality Enagi Nataraj passes away

Noted Theatre personality and TV artist Enagi Nataraj died after brief illness in a private hospital here today. He was 53. He is survived by wife and two children. Son of another popular artist, 95-year-old Enagai Balappa was still active in stage. His name came to the fore when he entered TV field and acted in 'Mahanavami'. Born in Davanagere, he was very talented in stage drama. He had acted in dramas like Macbeth, Miss Sahara and was awarded as 'Natya Samrata'. He was more known in professional drama. He also tried his hand in cinema and acted in 'Sainika' Kannada film. He was Director of Rangayana, Dharwad. The body would be kept at Rangayana, Dharwad, to enable public to pay their last respect. The last rites would be conducted at his native village Enagi in Belgaum District, family sources said.
