Sa-Dhan, a vital regulatory body for micro-finance sector, is hosting a two-day 14th national conference on September 19 and 20 titled ''Propelling the Growth of the Informal Sector through Microfinance" in the national capital.
The conference is aimed at building partnerships between Regulators, Investors and Bankers on one hand and Clients, Micro finance Institutions and Academicians on the other. The conference would also provide insight that can shape the future work agenda and chalk out an action plan keeping a focus on various aspects to both widen and deepen the scale of financial inclusion in the country. The conference is engaged with various important issues of Financial Inclusion like Empowering the Invisible Workforce, Sustainable Development Goals, Payments and Digital Credit as a Gateway to Financial Inclusion, MSME Financing, Self Help Group Movement, Micro Insurance, Responsible Lending, Affordable Homes, Clean Energy, Micro finance, Health among other things. This conference is being graced by Nobel Laureates, Union Ministers, Senior Government Officials, Academicians, Bankers, Practitioners and MFIs/Self Help Promoting Institutions. Like every year, this year too, the conference is a witness to the presence of a diverse set of participants that includes policymakers and regulators, banks and financial institutions, practitioners, international delegates, researchers and media to name a few.
