The city police have busted a high profile prostitution racket by arresting two people and rescued a budding actress.
Police seized net cash of Rs 40,000, 12 condom pockets and three mobiles from them.
On credible information, the West Zone Task Force team conducted a raid at a hotel in the posh area of Banjara hills and arrested the organizer Ambula Janardhan Rao (46) of Chilkalaguda and a customer Mahendra Sharma (39) of Sainkpuri on Saturday night and rescued a 24-year-old budding actress from Mumbai and a native of Agra, a police release said.
During investigation it was found that Janardhan Rao and other absconding accused lured film actresses from Mumbai and other states for sexual exploitation on weekly contract basis by paying them Rs 1 lakh for a week and they (accused) used to collect Rs 20,000 from each customer, the release added.
