15 die from Swine Flu in Aurangabad during Jan 1-Apr 15

The dreaded swine flu H1N1 claimed 15 lives in Aurangabad between the period of January 1 to April 15, official sources said here today.According to the district civil surgeon office sources, total 15 people, including six from other districts who came for treatment here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).At present a total seven patients of swine flu are being treated in the Special ward of swine flu, of them one is positive and rest of the six are suspected cases of H1N1, they said.During the period from January 1 to April 15, total 50 patients were found positive, including 15 who died. The dead included nine from Aurangabad district and six from others districts who came here for treatment, they said.They further said in Aurangabad city, five H1N1 positive patients died while two were from Phulambri taluka and one each from Aurangabad and Gangapur taluka.Rest of the six H1N1 patients who died, were from Parbhani district while one each from Beed,Jalna, Hingoli and Yawatmal district, they added.The experts advised people not to panic and take adequate preventive precautions for tackling H1N1 virus further.The experts advised people to wash their hands frequently with warm water, stay way from crowded places or cover their nose, mouth, avoid conditioners, gargle with warm water, do steam inhalation, do not shake hand, quit addictions like smoking or chewing tobacco, if you go to crowded places clean your cloth and in case of cough, cold and headache and fever, rush to the hospital for tests.UNI VKB RSA SNU 1805
