JIPMER conducts inter-active session on Health Education Programme

As part of Its Health Education Initiative Jawharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here held the 14th Interactive session focusing on HIV / AIDS today. According to a Jipmer release, as many as 200 people including students from various colleges paerticipated in the programme. The Programme was focused on HIV / AIDS awareness, Route of Transfusion, Clinical features AIDS stages, Sexually Transmitted Infection and Treatment methods, ART Treatment, PEP management, HIV- TB, HIV with ANC mother & HIV with Children. The panelists were Dr.D.Jayalakshmi, Additional Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr.S.Jeyachandran, Assistant Professor, Department of General Medicine,Dr. M.Malathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology&STD, Dr.J.Bharath,Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatrics and Dr.Palani, Assistant Professor, Departmentof Preventive & Social Medicine. It was moderated by Mr.A.Deivam, Medical Social Worker,Department of EMS & Trauma care and vote of thanks by Mrs. V.Chitraleka, Social ServiceOfficer.
