Finland Ex President Halonen visits Fortum plant in Bhilwara

Former Finland President Tarja Halonen today visited Gulabpura to inspect the location and ongoing work of the 5-MW solar energy plant being brought by Finnish energy company--Fortum.

Ms Halonen accompanied by Finland Ambassador in India Aapo Polho took stock of the project work and hailed the corporate group's investment in carbon free energy production and its contribution to the development and well- being of the local society.

Fortum has decided to equip three schools which has enrollment of around 1200 students, with solar-powered infrastructure.

The announcement was made by the company Managing Director Matti Kaarnakari on the occasion of a visit of the former Finnish premier. UNI SS RSA AN2302 NNNN
