, A short film Ek Hota Superstar, on renowned Marathi and Hindi film actor late Laxmikant Berde will be released on his 9th memorial day, produced by one of his admirers Rohit Haldikar, at Rajarashree Shahu Smarak Bhavan tomorrow evening, in the presence of Milind Ashstekar, Vice-President of All India Marathi Film Industry.
In a press release, Mr Haldikar, who is also a theatre actor and Radio Jockey, said that he had loved the 'Slapstick Comedy' of late Laxmikant Berde and he had decided to produce a short film on this subject for record of his contribution towards art field and this was the first effort in Marathi film industry, made by one of his admirers.
Started from his first contribution on Marathi theatre from Tur Tur, on Doordarshan from Gajara serial, his first Marathi film Lek Challi Sasarala and in Hindi cinema from Salman Khan starrer,Maine Payr Kiya',he gave in his career total eleven plays, 105 Marathi films and 80 Hindi films. Mr Haldikar said that he gave importance of his life and journey through his career in various fields including plays,Marathi and Hindi films in this short film.
His co-star, friends including Ravindra Berde, Purshortam Berde, Vijay Kadam, Sudhir Shettye, Deelip Thakur, Nivedita Saraf,Vijay Kenkare, advocate Deelip Mundarangi, Vijay Patkar, Nayantara,Rima Lagu, Prashant Damale, Sunil Barve, Mahesh Kothare, Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Varsha Usgaonkar and Jony Liver would unfold his various aspects through their interviews in this one hour and nineteen minutes short film, said Mr Haldikar and added that he also used various clippings of his various roles which he acted in plays and Marathi-Hindi films.
