Great scope for expansion between India-Afghanistan relations:Goa Guv

Goa Governor B V Wanchoo has hailed the age-old relations between Afghanistan and India, saying there is a great scope for expanding relations, especially in the field of art and culture.

During IFFI, Mr Murad Hamidi, the producer of the Afghan film 'A Man's Desire for a Fifth Wife', made after decades, along with film director Sediq Abedi and actress Takhmina Radzhabova called on the Governor recently.

India and Afghanistan have shared close cultural and political ties for centuries, culturally India has always had a great place in hearts and minds of the people of Afghanistan and vice versa, in the current times too, Mr Wanchoo said.

India is deeply committed and involved with the development work in Afghanistan, he added.

The Afghanistan film delegation to IFFI was greatly motivated and inspired by the appreciation and response they received by one and all during the festival. UNI XC-BM RSA 1246 NNNN
