Two people were arrested late last night in connection with the sensational murder of Neha Sharma,a research scholor, in the lab of Dayalbagh Educational Institute under New Agra area on March 15.
With the arrest of two accused, the case was likely to be worked out, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Agra Subhash Chandra Dubey said today.
The police was interrogating two accused namely Uday Swaroop, a relative of an office bearer of a Satsang Sabha, and lab assistant Yashveer Sandhu.
The police made the arrest on the basis of forensic analysis of pubic hair found in the Nano technology lab of the institute which also indicating attempt of sexual assault, the SSP said.
In fact, the police was under tremendous pressure to work out the case as the student fraternity and relative of the deceased were demanding CBI probe into the incident. UNI SB TW SB SB1300 NNNN
