Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has congratulated Rupam Jyoti Sarmah for staging the 'most number of unique instruments used in a musical composition' to enter the Guinness World Records at an event titled 'A Musical Journey for World Peace' at Jorhat on Sunday.

In a statement, Mr Gogoi while congratulating Mr Sarmah as well as the participating artistes for the musical feat, wished the Jorhat boy, currently based in the US, success in all his future endeavours.

'This great musical feat may inspire and motivate you to bring more laurels to the state and the country as a whole in the days ahead,' he added.

Artistes played 315 instruments during the biggest 'non-classical symphony' to surpass the earlier record set in Japan with 185 instruments. UNI SG PL SRC 1413 NNNN
