New trains for NE introduced

A new train, Nagaland Express , will be flagged off from Dimapur railway station, fulfilling announcement made in the Railway budget earlier. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will flag off the train at 1300 hours tomorrow, a Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) release said here today. The train will run between Dimapur and Kamakhya railway station in Guwahati, leaving Dimapur at 0630 hours and reaching Kamakhya at 1200 hours, covering a distance of 256 km. In the return direction, it will leave Kamakhya at 2310 hours, reaching Dimapur at 0520 hours. The inaugural run of the train will be from Dimapur at 1000 hours on November 15 and run on open timings with stoppages at all commercial stoppages. Another new weekly express train, christened as Kavi Guru Express , is being inaugurated from Jaipur today, the release said. It will be flagged off from Jaipur on November 14 and reach Kamakhya on November 16, the release added. UNI SG PL RH AS1612
