NTPC inks MoU with MP Govt to set 3,960 MW Thermal Power Project

State-owned power generating company NTPC today said it has executed an MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh and MP Power Trading Company (MP Tradeco) for setting up a 3,960 MW (6x660 MW) coal based Thermal Power Project in the state.

The agreement to this effect was signed on October 22, 2010, a company statement said.

The Power Project will come up near village Barethi in District Chhatarpur for the benefit of the Bundelkhand region, it added.
