Former minister K A Krishnaswamy passes away

Former AIADMK Minister and senior Dravidian leader K A Krishnaswamy died here in the early hours of today, after a brief illness.

He was 78 and is survived by two sons and two daughters.

Popularly known as 'KAK' in political circles, Krishnaswamy was a close associate of late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran and became a Minister in his first Cabinet in 1978.
