Childline India, Udayan Care, Ashadeep annual reports bag CSO awards

Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Partners' 'Outstanding Annual Report Awards' were presented in a glittering awards ceremony here today. The awards were given to nine of the best annual reports of the voluntary sector organisations for 2009.

Mumbai-based Childline India Foundation bagged the first prize in the large NGO category, while Delhi-based Udayan Care won the first prize in the medium NGO category.

In the small NGO category, the top position was bagged by Guwahati-based NGO Ashadeep. The other six winners included Swami Vivekanand Youth Movement, Akshaya Patra Foundation, Dream A Dream, Muskaan, Diya Foundation and Foundation for initiatives in Development and Education for All.

The awards carry a citation and cash prize of Rs three lakh each for the winners and Rs one lakh each for the two runners-up in each category.

Addressing the occasion, Soumitra Ghosh, Founder-CEO, CSO Partners, said, ''I congratulate all organisations that entered their annual reports because of the high standards of transparency, financial reporting and excellent communication exhibited through their Annual Reports.''
