Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam today released the 'Puducherry Vision-2025' document prepared by the CII and the Sri Ram Charitable trust here.

The 'Vision-2025' document envisages to make Puducherry as an international destination for higher education, learning and research and a best in-class wellness, spiritual and eco-tourism destination.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the effort taken by the CII and called upon other industrial units to come and take part in the development of Puducherry.

Stating that tourism has been given as a thrust area in the document, he said due to lack of land availability in Puducherry region, it has to concentrate on tourism development, eco-friendly and bio-technology industries.

Pointing out that there was no growth in Power sector in Kariakal, he said the Karaikal port would be completed in a couple of months.
