Scotland has more female than male millionaires

Scotland has 19,233 female millionaires as compared with 18,103 male millionaires, a new survey has revealed.
According to a report in the Scotsman, the city of Dundee is the favoured female millionaire's paradise.
A research has shown that nearly six in ten (57 per cent) of the millionaires who live in the city are women.
Paisley is the next popular place for powerful women, with 55 per cent of all millionaires being the fairer sex.
But women outstrip men in nine of Scotland's post-code regions, according to the survey by the Bristol-based wealth analyst KDB.
Experts calculated the rocketing fortunes of Scots women on the basis of property shares, savings and salaries. They found that female music artists were contributing conspicuously.
Violinist Nicola Benedetti, 20, a former Young Musician of the Year, ranks among the youngest after she signed a money-spinning one million pound deal with Deutsche Gramma-phon at the age of 17.
She is following in the footsteps of Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri, 39, who has become one of Scotland's richest women after several property and radio deals.
The KDB experts said one of the reasons women were coming out on top was because of their canny business deals and refusal to take too many risks.
Family friendly working environments are also believed to have played a huge part, allowing women to have a family and a career.
But men's lower life expectancy has also played a part, with many women being bequeathed huge fortunes.
Some women have also become millionaires on paper after their husbands transferred cash and assets into their wives' names to avoid being penalised by tax. (ANI)
