Europe should 'grasp its security in its own hands', said Chinese President Xi Jinping during a virtual meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Monday as the Chinese leader tried to split the transatlantic ties amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The two leaders had an in-depth and candid exchange of views on the situation in Ukraine, the Xinhua news agency reported.
