Tokyo Olympics: India men's doubles pair of Chirag, Satwik win Group A game

India men's doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy on Tuesday defeated Great Britain's duo of Ben Lane and Sean Vendy in a crucial final Group A Play Stage game in the Tokyo Olympics here at the Musashino Forest Plaza Court 3. The Indian duo defeated Lane and Vendy 21-17, 21-19 in their final group stage match.

Chirag and Satwik brought out their A-game to the court and the duo ended up winning the first game 21-17.

The Indian pair continued with the momentum and they ended up winning the match in straight games as they picked the second game 21-19.

On Monday, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy were defeated by world number one Indonesian pair of Marcus Gideon and Kevin Sukamuljo in the Group A Play Stage here at the Musashino Forest Plaza Court 1. The Indonesian pair defeated Chirag and Satwik 21-13, 21-12. (ANI)
