Javelin thrower Sundar Singh Gurjar bagged silver in the men's F46 category while Rinku settled for bronze in the same event of the 2018 Para Asian Games here on Thursday.

However, it was disappointment for two-time Paralympic gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia as he finished fourth.

Gurjar notched up his silver with an effort of 61.33 metre in his fifth attempt, while Rinku recorded a personal best of 60.92 metre to settle for the bronze medal.

The gold went to Sri Lanka's Dinesh Herath, who broke the Asian record after a throw of 61.84 metre in his first attempt.

The F46 category comes for upper limb deficiency, impaired muscle power or impaired range of movement.

Meanwhile, Avnil Kumar clocked 52 seconds to bag a bronze in the men's 400 metre T13 category, which covers visual impairment.

In this event, the yellow metal went to Iran's Omid Zarifsanayei, while Thailand's Songwut Lamsan bagged silver.
