Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have wished Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on her 65th birthday.

Adityanath took to Twitter to wish Mayawati on her birthday. He wished her good health and a long life. He also spoke to her on phone.

Governor Patel also wished the BSP president from her Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, Mayawati, who was in Delhi on Friday, released her latest volume of her journey in the Bahujan movement. The book is a part of her birthday celebrations over the years.

Talking to a news agency, she said that BSP would contest the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on its own and exuded the confidence that she would form the government.

"I have never compromised with my ideology and principles. I ask all my party workers to unite and prepare for elections," she said.

Mayawati also asked the Centre to accept farmers' demands and repeal the newly passed farm laws.

She further said that the government should ensure free Coronavirus vaccine for all in the country.
