Hitting out at Congress party's allegations against the government on the Rafale fighter deal, Union Minister Arun Jaitley said the rival political party is spreading falsehood to sustain its "sinking dynasty."
Without naming anybody, Jaitley in a series of tweets made an obvious reference to the Congress President Rahul Gandhi, calling him a 'dynast' who lordedover the 'slave' mentality' of other Congress leaders. How many lies need to be peddled to sustain a sinking dynasty? tweeted Jaitley. The slave mentality of senior leaders of Congress Party convinces them that they must only sing the song scripted by the dynast. A contrarian opinion will cost them their political career. When the dynast speaks lies, they all join the chorus, he tweeted. In relation to the Rafale deal where thousands of crores of public money has been saved, a new falsehood is manufactured on a daily basis. The latest is in relation to the present CAG and his participation in the decision-making process of Rafale, tweeted Jaitley. I say this without fear of contradiction that no file or paper relating to the Rafale transaction ever reached him nor was he in any way, directly or indirectly, associated with the decision making on defence purchases, he wrote on the micro blogging site. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi facilitated loot in Rafale deal as according to a media report he had removed the anti-corruption clause from the controversial fighter jet deal. A day later on Tuesday he used a fresh media report to allege thatPrime Minister Narendra Modihad acted as a middleman for industrialistAnil Ambaniin the Rafale fighter deal and accused him of violating the Official Secrets Act (OSA) and indulging in treason for which action must be initiated (ANI)
