Make in Odisha to show case the entire economy of the state- Das

Top Industry and business captains from abroad as well as from the country will participate in the flagship biennial global investors summit of Odisha scheduled to be held here from November 11 to 15 next.

Odisha Industries Minister Ananta Das said the Make in Odisha Conclave, held in the state for the second time, with an objective to show case the entire economy of the state including the facilities like port, Airport, raw material, road connectivity available in the to attract investment.

He said through the conclave, the government intends to tell about the entire economic sector of the state, he said.

Mr Das said there was a very wrong conception of people outside the country about Odisha and the objective of the conclave is to tell people about the potential, achievement of the state.

The conclave, the Minister said will provide unique opportunity for business to network and forge partnerships.

Delegates of South Korea, Germany, France, China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, UAE would would interact with officials of 15 state government departments of the state investors and the general public at the biggest ever business event in the country.

Mr Das said 150 experts and investors from various countries would discuss on various aspects at the Make-in Odisha conclave in which Japan is the partner country.

He said after the 2016 Make in Odisha Conclave as many as 124 investment proposals worth around Rs 2 lakh crore was received . Out of it 64 proposals (65 per cent ) have been grounded and are in various stages of construction while three of them have gone into production.
