Environmentalists staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner's office here on Thursday, opposing proposed project to construct elevated highway in Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
They said this project would lead to huge destruction of forest and deeply affect the wildllife. It would only result in thieves steal the trees and indulge in poaching and throwing of construction waste in the the forests that will deeply affect the environment. The activists urged state and central government to not to drop such projects.
