An educationist by profession, Ms Singh's life wasn't easy. She fought back due to her commitment, perseverance and never to give up attitude. Her husband is posted in Kashmir valley. Born in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, she is currently settled in Delhi.

''I have a 12-year-old daughter who has been a strong pillar of support. She was the one who prepared me for the sports round of the Pageant and even the question answer round,'' Ms Singh said.

The pageant winner is also associated with three NGOs that work for women empowerment.

''We are proud of our ladies and children who are true ambassadors of our larger family and are excelling in all fields in the society be it sports or entertainment among others,'' Indian Army Spokesperson Col Aman Anand said.

When panel judge Miss Claudea asked her a question as to if you win today how would she take the crown further and save planet earth, she replied, ''I think if I win this crown, I think the journey will be much longer. I'm already a school's Principal for the last five years and also associated with three NGOs, I believe my voice will now be heard with greater magnitude.''"With this I will be able to reach a larger crowd and for saving planet I will sit with the management and plan strategies. Tree plantation would be one among them," she added. Ms Singh further stated that she is proud of belonging to the Army fraternity as they have been throughout with her in this proud journey.
