Heavy rain lashed various parts of the national capital on Friday, bringing respite from the sultry weather conditions.

The rain followed by overcast sky caused water logging in different parts of the city, affecting vehicular movements.

According to Delhi Traffic police, traffic is affected at 11 Murti, Sardar Patel Marg towards Mother Teresa Crescent and RTR towards Airport near Shani Mandir due to water logging.

"Traffic is affected on Savitri Flyover, Ring Road towards Greater Kailash & RTR towards Munirka due to water logging," it said.

The people of the national capital on Friday woke up to another cloudy morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal for the season.
