With latest revelations in the shocking case of 11 deaths in Burari in North Delhi, a post-mortem report of 77 year old Narayani Devi said that she also died due to ante-mortem hanging similar to that of the other 10 family members, the police said on Thursday.
According to police, the board of doctors who conducted the post mortem in their report have said that Narayani Devi also died of hanging like the 10 others.
Speaking to mediapersons, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police , Crime Branch Alok Kumar said that the post mortem report given by the board of doctors which suggests hanging as the cause of deaths is in support of the suicide theory till now.
``The documents , the registers and other written material that we have recovered and examined so far , also matches with the situation in which the bodies were recovered,'' he said.
So far the investigation has ruled out involvement of any occult practitioner(tantrik or such Guru) in the matter.
''So far , the reports and the investigation is ruling out any foul play or involvement of any tantrik etc.'' said the Joint Commissioner. He further said that as per the documents recovered , the practices and beliefs that were documented started after Lalit's father's death in 2006 and since 2007 till date there has been a continuity in documentation and building up of a thought process that is seen to be leading to this situation.
However, the police said that the investigation was still underway and many aspects are yet to be examined , as the psychological autopsy will also take place in the matter , and other FSl report etc is yet to be carefully done, but the post mortem report has given the probe a direction, the senior police officer added.
