The Congress party has accused BJP's national president Amit Shah of shedding crocodile tears over the plight of tribals in the state and alleged that the BJP led government of Jharkhand was planning to loot the land of the tribals.

JPCC spokesperson Samsher Aalam today said Mr Shah should remember that Congress since decades has been vocal for the rights and development of the tribals and accused the BJP of being anti dalit, minorities and tribals. He said Raghubar government has on several occasions made attempts to loot the 'jal jungle and zameen' of the adivasis and damage their culture.

Mr Aalam said the Congress party has always stood for the rights of Jharkhand and protecting the land of the state. He said, it was the Congress party which for the first time had passed the resolution for making a separate state in the Bihar assembly. He said the role of the BJP right from the Jharkhand Andolan to separate state creation has been negligible.
