Senior journalist & SPO wounded in firing by gunmen in Srinagar

Senior journalist Shujahat Bukhari and his Special Police Officer were injured when unidentified gunmen fired at them this evening in the heart of J&K's summer capital.

Official sources said that Mr Bukhari, the editor of English daily 'Rising Kashmir' was boarding his vehicle at Press Enclave office of his newspaper when the attack took place.

Some unidentified gunmen fired at them.

Bukhari, brother of state minister Basharat Bukhari, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
