Flash flood disrupts vehicular traffic on Chandigarh-Manali National Highway

Flash flood across the state, disrupted vehicular traffic on Chandigarh-Manali National Highway.

A report said here that Chandigarh-Manali National highway near Mandi-Kullu border at Hangi was disrupted by the muck and flash flood after the rainfall in the region, leading to traffic jam on both sides.

Administration Mandi and Kullu pressed it machinery to open the road soon after the flash flood. Vehicular traffic could not be thrown open till filing of this report.

A local spokesman of Kullu, Sher Singh told UNI that vehicular traffic was opened in the day but it was halted by flash flood after inclement weather in afternoon. He said that vehicular traffic is open on Manali-Leh National Highway which was opened by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) recently.
