Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has expelled three senior party leaders of Sitapur, a former minister, an MP and a Nagar Palika chairman.

Party sources here on Thursday said that the leaders were expelled for their anti-party activities.

The expelled leaders are former minister and one of the founder member of the BSP Ramhet Bharati. He was also two-time MLA.

The other two expelled leaders are former MLA Jasmir Ansari and his former MP wife Kaiser Jahan.

Jasmir lost the 2017 Assembly elections on BSP ticket but won the chairman post in the Sitapur Nagar Palika elections. His wife Kaiser Jahan won the Sitapur Lok Sabha seat in 2009 but lost in 2014.

On Wednesday, BSP had expelled four party leaders in the Lucknow district for anti-party activities.
