Store manager dupes Vodafone of Rs 8 lakh

The city police has registered registered acriminal case against the store manager of Vodafone showroom forallegedly duping the telecom company of Rs 8 lakh.

In a criminal complaint filed at Sarkarwada police station here onWednesday, it was alleged that accused Dolly Vijay Chandratre, whowas working as store manager at Vodafone store located nearmunicipal head office, had allegedly made financial transactions ofRs 8.94 lakh through the company portal between April 19 and 26.

However, she later deposited only Rs 50,000 in the company account.

The matter came to light during audit of the company's accounts.

The Sarakarwada police has registered registered a case of cheatingagainst the manager, sources added.
