Nashik civic chief issues notices to 24 heads of departments

Nashik Municipal commissioner Tukaram Mundhehas issued notices to 24 heads of departments in the civic body,including two additional municipal commissioners, for thedereliction of duty.

The officials concerned were expected to act on the complaintsreceived from the citizens during the weekly 'Walk with theCommissiuoner' initiative launched by Mr Mundhe and submit theirreports on the same. He has asked the officials to reply to thenotices within three days.

During the weekly interaction with people, the Nashik civic chiefhad passed on the written complaints received from people to theconcerned heads of departments for further action within a week.

Mr Mundhe had met people over the past three weeks and was expectingofficials to act on the complaints. However, most of the officialsare still in the process of acting on the complaints. Some of them have submitted their reports, but there are discrepancies in thenumber of complaints received from people and the actual informationprovided by the concerned officials.

Therefpre, Mr Mundhe has warned officials that if satisfactory replyis not provided within three days, disciplinary action would betaken against them.
