4 awarded 10 years imprisonment in Palamu

A local court in Palamu district awarded 10 years of imprisonment to four convicts in a attempt to murder case.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge (Sixth) Pamkaj Kumar today awarded the punishment to Suryanath Mahto, Sahendra Prajapati, Anil Prajapati and Shatrughan Mahto and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them and failing to pay the fine the four will have to undergo further imprisonment of six more months while four other accused in the case were acquitted due to lack of evidences.

On October 12, 2014 in Hariyakala village of Patan Police Station these accused had attacked Sitaram Mahto and two others with sharp edged weapons over a dispute over using water for irrigating the fields.
