Palamu DC directs to form task force against illegal stone mining

Palamu DC Amit Kumar today directed to form a sub divisional level task forces to crack down on illegal stone mining and stone crusher plants being operated in the district.

Chairing a meeting of the state level task force here, he said license of brick kiln owners be examined and illegal kilns be closed. He has also directed raids be conducted against illegal sand mining from the river banks of the district and asked to seize the sand laden trucks and tractors.

He also asked the district transport officer to make sure that action is taken against such vehicle owners who carry more than fixed amount of sand in their vehicles. Those who present in the meeting also included Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha, forest officials, DTO and district mining officer Ratnesh Kumar Sinha.
